"onemaninaboat" commented on my last post here, and I went and checked out his blog, there is a post there that resonated with me:
Aspergers and other people
"One of the most difficult things to deal with since my diagnosis has been the reaction of people who knew me before it. For some they knew me as someone who has failed at everything I had done and they seem to think that aspergers is a convenient excuse, a “get out of jail free” card for someone who never bothered trying hard enough. Perversely others know me as someone who is determined, hard working, intelligent and passionate about my beliefs – often the first person they would go to with a problem. How can somebody like that suddenly say they have always had a problem?" Please read the whole post here.
By the way, there is some cool art there too, I look forward to reading and seeing more!
