KFUO and Issues Etc.

I sent a rather angry letter to the synod president, it was ignored there and it made its way to David Strand, the layman who is apparently in charge of the idiot brigade in charge of ruining the proclamation of the gospel via KFUO.

Here is my letter to him:

What is *this* drivel?

"For programmatic and business reasons, the decision was made
this week to discontinue the "Issues, Etc." program on KFUO-AM.
We look forward to bringing you new programming in this time slot
in the near future. Also, we thank "Issues" host Rev. Todd Wilken
and producer Mr. Jeff Schwarz for their years of service on behalf
of the station. Those interested may still download past "Issues,
Program Etc." programs from the "Issues" archive on this website.
Thank you sincerely for your continued support of KFUO's radio ministry."

SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

This means NOTHING! These words say NOTHING! Tell us the truth! Tell us the REAL reasons! I am disgusted by this vile and sinful action. Synond means walking together, clearly I do not walk with people who cannot stand to have the clear gospel proclaimed. Go to the ELCA with your vile wishy washy pap, I don't need it! The world doesn't need it! There is enough of pseudo-Christianity out there already in my local "non-denominational" church, REAL *Lutheran* Christianity is desperately needed and you have STOLEN it from us! Give it back!

And here is what I got back:

Dear Mr. Devich:

Thank you for your e-mail. We are sorry for your disappointment over
the change in KFUO-AM programming. However, we hope you will enjoy our
future programs.

Sincerely in Christ,

David L. Strand
Executive Director
Board for Communication Services

Terrific, I got a form letter back, exactly the same as was sent to others who have protested, they don't care, they don't even read them! They are just sending out form letters and continuing the LIES!

I honestly think the LCMS is on its last legs, being murdered by those who are supposed to be its leaders, this is a very sad situation but perhaps a new truly confessional synod might emerge from the wreckage.

If you would like to be ignored and get a condescending form letter of your very own you can contact any of the following:

The Tea Parties

I didn't make our local Tea Party , but it pulled hundreds of people as well... Tea, anyone? from Father Hollywood by Father Hollywood Like hundreds of thousands of other Americans, the Hollywoods enjoyed a tea party this past Wednesday. "Tea party" (wink wink). Nothing subversive about sipping a little Darjeeling, eh wot? Nothing to see here, Miss Napolitano. Anyway, our local festivities were held at Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. There were literally thousands of people crammed into the neutral ground (though on that day, the ground was anything but...), as cars and trucks poured by the busy boulevard laing on their horns in support. Here are pictures. And like every such gathering in our environs, there was even a brass band and an improptu "second line" parade. It was a "party" after all. But it was a party with a serious reason. The crowds were so overwhelming that it was hard to hear the speakers, and unfortunately, we did have a fe...

Viva California! USA out of California Now!

Gene Veith points to a Russian who predicts the breakup the American Empire. Gene is somehow unaware of the dozens of secessionist movements in various states. Granted they are almost all small but still, they exist and this could be a good time for us. Those who know me already understand that I'm a California Nationalist who I doesn't think California should have joined those united States in the first place. Being a part of that empire just costs us money, we get nothing in return. These days we get to be hated by foreigners for being Americans and mocked by Americans for being Californians. Getting us out of the US yesterday would be a day too late as far as I'm concerned.

Child Driven Education

Here is a Ted Talk with Sugata Mitra on Child Driven Education... very unschooling-like I think.  :-)  I've seen videos of him before, this is an update on his research on letting groups of kids learn on the internet, mostly without any supervision at all.  Posted via email from The Angry Gnome
