1 Corinthians 10:1-5 (ESV)
1 I want you to know, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 and all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Paul comes right out and states that the Red Sea crossing equals baptism, and it seems clear that the spiritual food and drink, that is Christ, is the Holy Communion! Paul also seems to be refuting the idea of "Once saved always saved" that some denominations proclaim. I just never noticed that before so I'm pointing it out, sorry if it was glaringly obvious to everyone else already :-)
Later in the same chapter Paul emphasizes the real presence of the Lord in the Eucharist:
1 Corinthians 10:16-17 (ESV)
16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
